John Hynds Recognised in 2012 New Years Honours List
John Hynds, Chairman of the Board and founder of the Hynds Group of Companies, has been made an officer of the NZ Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to Business and Philanthropy.
Over the 38 years since the business was established, John has made an immense contribution to the civil construction sector. New Zealand Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999, John Hynds is a Life Member of the Auckland Branch of New Zealand Contractors Federation, and in 2010, he was made a Companion of IPENZ for his contribution to civil engineering.
Outside of business, John and his wife Leonie are significant supporters of a wide range of community interests in the areas of Education, Health and the Arts.
